Glare from the sun often obstructs surf lifeguards from supervising swimmers, and long term exposure to glare can lead to problems with eye health. Shoretech has teamed up with The University of Queensland, Swellnet and Fernvale Optical to create glare infographics which surf lifeguards can use to find out if their time of duty will be affected by glare. Each glare infographic includes a glare chart which is customised to each surf lifeguard tower location. We are currently trialing infographics at surf lifeguard towers on the Gold Coast.
