Shoretech is an Australian owned data provision and analytics company which combines beach cameras, aerial and satellite imagery, computer vision algorithms and coastal engineering knowledge to produce insightful data to our clients. Shoretech originated from research collaborations beginning in 2020, involving the University of Queensland, Swellnet and Bluecoast Consulting Engineers, and was formally commercialised in 2022. Our research has produced new approaches for extracting coastal engineering data from beach cameras by harnessing artificial intelligence in our algorithms.
